Angelina Jolie gets treated for breast cancer before she even had breast cancer.

Angelina Jolie has revealed she underwent a preventative double mastectomy because she carries a "faulty" gene, BRCA1, that puts her at an 87% risk of developing breast cancer.  The actress, 37, opened up about her decision in a personal op-ed piece in the New York Times on May 14, 2013.  Jolie, who lost her mother Marcheline Bertrand to ovarian cancer, completed three months of medical procedures, which included having her breasts surgically reconstructed.  "I am fortunate to have a partner Brad Pitt, who is so loving and supportive, "the actress wrote. "Brad was at the Pink Lotus Breast Center, where I was treated, for every minute of the surgeries."
